The extreme originality Of Kasabians New CD
November 25th, 2009 by admin
Who is Kasabian! A hot Alternative band from England. The new CD is called West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum. This is the third time they have created an album in the studio. Release date was on June 8, 2009. Japanese-American hip-hop and electronica producer, known as Dan, The Automator, Nakamura produced the album. Gorillaz first record was produced, to his great renown, by him.
So where did the name come from? A mental hospital located in Wakefield, West Yorkshire in England. West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum was constructed during the 19th century. It did not keep the name though. The name became Stanley Royd Hospital/Psychiatric Hospital.
Underdog. what meaning lies behind that first song’s title on the album? It also has the distinction of being used on a commercial that marketed Sony Bravia’s televisions. Rosario dawson, who was kind enough to join in on a duet for the tune West Ryder/Silver Bullet. Anyone could have gone to Kasabian’s official website and downloaded Vlad The Impaler (the song, not the actual scary dude) from March 31 2009 to April 3, 2009. Fire, the authentic first release came out on June 1, 2009.
The album boasts some other songs such as; Where did all The Love Go?,Take Aim, Swarfiga, Thick as Thieves, Fast Fuse, Happiness, Secret Alphabets, Ladies and Gentlemen (Roll the Dice). Japan is lucky enough to have Road Kill Cafe and Cunny Grope Lane, two bonus tracks just for them. Although Cunny Grope Lane is also an iTunes Pre-Order. Fast Track is a tune that has gotten around! It is on video game FIFA 09, and was the official theme song for none other than Cyber Sunday 2007 on pay-per-view.
When you listen to Kasabian’s new album, you get a sense of a slight Pink Floyd influence. The bands man in front, Tom Meighan, feels this album does not differ wildly from the other two.The music moves nicely without interuption. He believes this recording is farther out than the others and is a mind-bending experience.
Kasabian has a dream. Quentin Tarantino could make that happen. Rosario Dawson got him to listen to her duet on West Ryder/Silver Bullet. Quentin was so impressed that he wants to use it for one of his film soundtracks. Sergio Pizzorno wasn’t surprised, The bands guitarist thinks West Ryder Lunatic Asylum sounds like a soundtrack. Quentin has no doubt the music would make people jump up and move! He sniffed out the Daft Punk, Clash, and Rolling Stones influence. The music tosses you around at high speed with it’s uninhibited uniformity. Don’t let it pass you by.
