Kasabian stated that West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum has a little bit of Pink Floyd influence to it. Frontman Tom Meighan stated that the new album comes together in a stunning manner with no gaps. He also said the CD is very psychedelic with aspects similar to the first two albums, but the new album has a more distant sound.
Guitarist Sergio Pizzorno compared West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum to a soundtrack of a make believe movie. The band has dreamed of providing tracks for movies and Rosario Dawson played the featured song, West Ryder/Silver Bullet to Quentin Tarantino and he was very fond of it. The song may end up being featured on the soundtrack of one of Quentins films. He stated that the album would have people up and dancing. He also said the album features interesting sounds that blend the musical styling of the Rolling Stones, The Clash, and Daft Punk. The CD is very rhythmic and funky. It has also been described as experiencing a ride on a musical rollercoaster. You do not want to miss out on this new great album!
