Jhonen Vasquez, creator of Johnny The Homicidal Maniac and Invader Zim, did the album art, as well as the cover art for both of the album’s promotional singles.
Several of the songs appeared before the actual album, either available in an alternate form on prior releases, released as a demo, or performed live.
The song “Never Wanted to Dance” appears in the games Madden 09, Need for Speed: Undercover.
The album was nominated for the “Best Album of the Year” 2008 by Kerrang magazine readers.[citation needed]
